The simplest of desserts, but one to look forward to every summer.

Ingredients

1 ripe but slightly firm peach, per person

1 Tablespoon brown sugar per person

1 Tablespoon unsalted butter, per person

The amounts above are approximate. You don't really need to measure for such a simple dessert.

Slice the peaches in half and pit them., place them in a bowl and rub them with brown sugar until they are coated.

In a frying pan, over medium-high heat melt about 1 tablespoon of butter per peach it. Add the peaches to the skillet cut side down. Sear the peaches for about 4 minutes then flip them and cook them for another 4. Remove the from heat and set aside. let them cool a bit before serving them with mascarpone.
